Tate & Lyle Beverage Innovator of the Year Finalist
23 Sep 2013 --- Tate & Lyle, a global provider of ingredients and solutions to the food, beverage and other industries, is a finalist for the prestigious Beverage Innovation Award for its latest prototype, Drop by Drop, at Drinktec 2013 in Munich, Germany.
The application made with SPLENDA Sucralose responds to consumers’ increasing focus on maintaining a healthy lifestyle, which is helping to drive innovation in the production of reduced/low calorie drinks.
To meet that demand, Tate & Lyle’s beverage experts created Drop by Drop, a new cost effective and intensely sweet beverage concentrate with compact packaging ideal to be consumed on-the-go. It is designed to be added to still or sparkling bottled water to produce a great tasting, flavoured drink with zero calories and a high-quality sweetness profile.
Judges at the awards recognised the innovation behind Drop by Drop as one of the first on-the-go, zero calorie liquid concentrates on the European drinks market.
With the sweetening power approximately 600 times that of sugar, SPLENDA Sucralose, has zero calories, a great taste profile and provides consumers with all the flavour they expect from their drinks, with the added benefit of a lower calorie intake and maintaining sweetness over a long period.
