Sunny Delight Beverages Co. Expands Wholesomeness Efforts

12/09/07 Sunny Delight Beverages Co. (SDBC) announced that it is launching SunnyD 100% Juices into the Southeastern U.S. This introduction further expands the company's efforts to meet consumer expectations for fresher tasting, more wholesome products.
SunnyD 100% Juices is an all natural, no sugar added line of chilled juices with no added preservatives. "SunnyD 100% Juices have done very well in taste tasting, even among those who do not like other pure juices," said Rick Zimmerman, senior vice president, marketing & innovation. "These all natural juices give moms more choices they know their families will love." The brand is sold in gable top cartons and includes Orange-Citrus, Orange-Strawberry and Orange-Peach.
The company also named Davette Shorter to the newly created position of marketing director, FruitSimple.

Most recently, Shorter was director, U.S. marketing for L'Oreal's Softsheen-Carson division where she led go-to-market strategies for L'Oreal's traditional retail and OTC channels. Her consumer goods career has included senior marketing positions with Campbell's Soup Company, Glory Foods, Bath & Body Works and Nabisco Foods.
