Spar Cider Festival Showcases Award-Winning Line

06 Mar 2014 --- Spar UK is bringing back its successful Cider Festival this year, giving retailers the opportunity to showcase Spar’s award-winning Premium Reserve Cider alongside a range of best selling proprietary brands.

From now until 19th March, Spar will be running the promotion in stores across Scotland, England and Wales.

Promotions such as two for £2.50 and 3 for £3.50 deals on selected branded ciders will be available in Spar stores, including Spar Brand Premium Reserve Cider on promotion for £1.50.

Philippe Rondepierre, Spar UK head of marketing, said: “Our Premium Reserve Cider will be the star in this year’s Cider Festival.

“The cider, which is supplied by Aston Manor, has become a multi-award winning line, with accolades from The Great Taste Awards, The Wholesale Q Awards and the Quality Drink Awards. It is absolutely delicious.

“This product is only available at Spar stores, helping drive customer loyalty and making Spar a destination store for high quality, great value alcohol drinks,” said Rondepierre.

Since the first cider festival took place in 2011, Spar retailers have experienced double digit growth in the cider category, added Rondepierre.

Spar retailers will receive POS materials, including banners, bunting, shelf stripping, posters and barkers to encourage customers to try out Spar’s great range of ciders.
