Sethness Products Company Introduces Certified Organic Caramel Color

21/06/06 Sethness Products Company announced today the launch of OC90, a Certified Organic Caramel Color. This Class I, Sucrose-Based Liquid Caramel Color was developed in response to increasing consumer demands for organic offerings. OC90 is a label friendly organic color that can improve the visual appeal of new organic foods and beverages. Sethness will promote OC90 at the National IFT Convention in Orlando on June 25-27.
OC90 Organic Caramel Color has been certified by the Iowa Organic Certification Program, Iowa Department of Agriculture, and Land Stewardship. Sethness Products Company is in compliance with the USDA National Organic Program and packages will contain the USDA Organic seal.
The Organic Trade Association's 2006 Manufacturer Survey states that U.S. organic food sales totaled nearly $14 billion in 2005, representing 2.5 percent of all retail sales of food, up from 1.9 percent in 2003. According to survey results, sales of organic foods are expected to reach nearly $16 billion by the end of 2006.
