Sensient Food Colors Europe Completes Expansion of Headquarters
Sensient Technologies has invested 7 million EUR to expand capacity with state-of-the-art production facilities. The new production building sets new standards in the manufacture of high quality natural colours and colouring foodstuffs.
15/08/06 Natural and synthetic colour formulation supplier Sensient Food Colors Europe, has completed the expansion of its headquarters near Hamburg, Germany. The food and beverage industry demand for natural colours and colouring foodstuffs has experienced significant growth. In response Sensient Technologies has invested 7 million EUR to expand capacity with state-of-the-art production facilities and to extend the Sensient Customer Support Centre.
The new production building sets new standards in the manufacture of high quality natural colours and colouring foodstuffs. The latest process technology protects sensitive ingredients and leads to enhanced colour performance and stability in food and beverage applications. In addition to the larger production capacity the new facilities guarantee the best product safety and environmental protection. As a result of the new investment the International Food Standard (IFS) Certificate with higher level has this year been awarded to the company.
The new Sensient Customer Support Centre includes the new Technical Service Centre, conference facilities and an enlarged sample department. In the expanded Technical Service Centre food technologists are extensively equipped to meet various application needs. New colour concepts in food and beverage products are prepared in dedicated pilot plants. Sophisticated stability tests as well as instrumental and sensory analysis ensure a rigorous evaluation of colour formulations in various applications and concepts. Sensient food technologists match market requirements with colour expertise and capabilities to provide the best solution for every colouring and appearance need.
In the new conference facilities Sensient FCE presents conferences and practical workshops to the food industry and their own employees in order to share expertise and stay focussed on the present and future market needs.
The new, high tech Sensient FCE production facilities and the Sensient Customer Support Centre are an important investment to meet existing and future product and service needs.
