Schweppes Abbey Well to Launch in 2009
CCGB will be adding 'Schweppes Abbey Well' to a water portfolio which already includes English water brand, 'Malvern', and active lifestyle brand, ‘glaceau vitaminwater'.
12/12/08 Coca-Cola Great Britain (CCGB) has announced the launch of 'Schweppes Abbey Well', an on-the-go natural mineral water launching across Great Britain from early next year.
Following the acquisition of Northumberland-based natural mineral water source, 'Abbey Well', earlier this month, CCGB is placing it under the respected and iconic 'Schweppes' brand, in order to give more people across Great Britain access to this great tasting, British, high-quality, natural mineral water.
As part of the 'Coca-Cola' sponsorship of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, 'Schweppes Abbey Well' will be one of the drinks offered at London 2012, meaning fans and athletes alike will be able to enjoy a range of drinks, including soft drinks, bottled water, juices and sports drinks during the games.
'Schweppes Abbey Well' will be encouraging people across the country to get active by introducing a year-round activation offering free swimming. Further details will be announced next year.

CCGB acquired the 'Schweppes' drinks brand in 1999. Since its incorporation, 'Schweppes' has successfully grown to become the third largest trademark in CCGB's portfolio behind only 'Coca-Cola' and 'diet Coke'.
