Rochester Mills to Release Newton’s ALEchemy Double IPA
26 Jan 2016 --- Rochester Mills Beer Co. & Rochester Mills Production Brewery are doing their part to snap the winter blues by announcing the 2016 limited seasonal release of Newton’s ALEchemy DIPA (8.8% ABV, 88 IBUs), an American Double India Pale Ale set for February 1st.
Newton’s ALEchemy was first introduced in January of 2015 as a small batch release on draft only. Due to the popularity of the beer, this year’s brew will be available for enjoyment across Rochester Mills’ full distribution network on draft and now in 4 packs of 16 oz. cans for consumer’s convenience.
“If you were lucky enough to get your hands on last year’s Newton’s ALEchemy you know what a great beer it is,” said Mike Plesz, Founder of Rochester Mills Beer Co. and Production Brewery. “Inspired by Sir Isaac Newton’s obsession with the number eight and infinity, we created a beer that is calculated to reach a precise level of bitterness and alcohol content while using different ingredients each time we brew it.”
Once again Newton’s ALEchemy was brewed with a precisely calculated “mountain of hops” to exploit the gravitational pull of today’s craft beer drinker toward the big and delightful bitterness bliss commonly found in American Double IPAs of the highest caliber. 2016 Newton’s ALEchemy gets all of its intense bittering, flavor and aroma from the Pekko hop, an experimental hop variety developed by the American Dwarf Hop Association. You’ll enjoy complex and clean characteristics of floral, citrus and mint in the most heavily hopped brew to come out of Rochester Mills to date. The result is pure liquid Gold, the elusive quest of Newton and alchemists of his day.
