6/16/2011 --- Rexam’s Nea Airless, the newest member of the Nea formula protection family, combines formula preservation, design flexibility, production efficiency, on-shelf appeal, smooth actuation and value and is designed to protect today’s exciting new cosmetic formulations.
The Nea Airless can be seen at Rexam’s booth C21, Luxe Pack New York, May 18-19th.
Rexam, a pioneer in true airless dispensing technology, anticipated demand for packaging solutions that can handle the viscosity of today’s new skin care products and be customized with the latest decoration technologies. The appeal of anti-aging products with powerful active ingredients, and the trend towards organics have led to preservative-free formulations that are sensitive to discoloration and drying out. Consumers love the high viscosity products, but these formulas require the right packaging.

The heart of the Rexam Nea Airless is the Nea engine itself. Designed without elastomers, the Nea is fitted with a glass ball and a spring placed outside the dosing chamber. This assures metal-free formula flow, complete neutrality and protection against formula discoloration and incompatibility. The pump is engineered for smooth actuation, precise dosage and high suction force to handle today’s most viscous and sensitive products.
In addition, Nea is designed for “twirl” filling, and so is an ideal solution for multi-benefit formulations, such as those that combine a facial care moisturizer and foundation, with the pleasing “twirl” effect.
