30 May 2023 --- The overall rate of inflation at grocers reached 9% in the UK in May, flags the British Retail Consortium (BRC). Food inflation in Britain is showing signs of easing, but official data shows the cost of commodities such as coffee and cocoa jumped while there has been a slight decline in the price of fresh foods.
