Proprietors LLC Partners with Wyoming Whiskey
17 Jun 2016 --- The full-service bar consulting firm behind Death & Company, Nitecap, Walker Inn and more, announces their national partnership with Wyoming’s first premium bourbon, Wyoming Whiskey. The two entities will be working together to produce unique trade and consumer experiences, cocktail development, trainings, and growth efforts – primarily launching the brand in new states across the country.
This partnership is especially close to heart for Proprietors Founder, David Kaplan, who grew up in Wyoming and recently moved back, full-time. “I’m incredibly proud to be part of the team introducing this whiskey, and a little bit of my home state, to everyone,” said Kaplan. “We often hear so much fiction around spirits such as where they come from; their origin stories. So I was excited at the prospect of working with a product true to its core. It’s a rare and special thing to find a spirit focused on authenticity and transparency in process.”
Wyoming Whiskey is produced from the ground up, using non-GMO ingredients from the Big Horn Basin. The distillery in Kirby, which is located in central Wyoming, was founded by fourth generation cattle ranchers who use hand-selected and locally grown corn, wheat and barley. The water used in producing Wyoming Whiskey comes from a mile-deep, limestone aquifer, and each Wyoming Whiskey label is hand numbered with the bottling date and lot.
The result is rich, dark amber in color, with floral, spice and browned butter, vanilla crème, caramel, and cinnamon tasting notes. Medium-bodied, it is light with vanilla bean and hints of mint, and a velvety toffee finish.
“Wyoming Whiskey has all the tenets we look for in a great bourbon – slightly higher in proof at 44% alcohol by volume,” said Proprietors LLC Partner, Alex Day. “The liquid itself has subtle floral aromas that are backed by touches of brown baking spices in taste, a smooth mouth feel and a nice finish. It’s a whiskey that is great for sipping on its own while it also plays phenomenally in cocktails.”
“We are honored that the experts at Proprietors believe in our bourbon,” said David DeFazio, Co-Founder and COO at Wyoming Whiskey. “We look forward to attracting new loyal Wyoming Whiskey drinkers across the U.S.!”
