Peak Organic Releases Super Fresh
30 Sep 2015 --- Portland, Maine – Peak Organic Brewing is set to release one of their most flavorful and experimental beers of the past 5 years, and it’s coming in the surprising form of a pilsner. Super Fresh, which Peak is referring to as the assertive big brother of their highly acclaimed Fresh Cut pilsner, will be the third lager in Peak’s line and boast an impressive hop profile, akin to some of the most flavorful and aromatic IPAs on the market. Marked by it’s juicy, citrus hop character, Super Fresh is bursting with waves of deliciousness.
Super Fresh will mirror Fresh Cut in its showcasing of Chinook and Citra hops, but will build on the fruit and spice hop characteristics by blending in a strong dose of Simcoe and Centennial hops during the dry-hop period. The resulting pilsner will bring to life all the clean, distinct hop flavors Peak beers are known for.

“We’ve been imagining a beer that reaches the boundaries of huge hop flavor and aroma, without all the bitterness. A beer that showcases the threshold of character that our incredible organic hops can produce. Super Fresh is the purest expression of that idea. We use a stunning amount of hops per barrel in this beer, but 90% of them come after the boil and during the dry-hop period, so the beer sings with hop aroma and flavor, but is not very bitter. A light grain bill and a lager yeast provide just enough foundation to support the hops, but are quiet enough to provide little distraction. This beer is extremely unique and we’re excited for folks to try it.”
Super Fresh, a wicked dry-hopped pilsner, is now available in select markets in extremely limited quantity to ensure freshness. It will be produced in both draft and 4-pack 16oz cans.
