Passion Fruit Juice Supplier Quicornac Celebrates 25 Years in Business
23 Apr 2014 --- A quarter-century of growth fueled with quality products, product innovations, and investment in new technologies has positioned Quicornac as a leader in the juice raw material processing industry. Founded in 1989, Quicornac is a privately held company headquartered in Guayaquil, Ecuador, and employing over 300 people in Ecuador and Peru.
Over the past 25 years, the company has evolved from being a small scale passion fruit producer to a thriving, high capacity multinational shipping passion fruit and mango NFC and concentrate to over 32 countries around the world.
To celebrate this milestone, Quicornac hosted a reception on April 9 evening at the Centro de Convenciones Simon Bolivar in Guayaquil. “We would like to thank our clients, partners, colleagues and friends for their patronage over the past 25 years,” said the company’s CEO, Bernhard Frei.
Among the distinguished guests at the celebration were Mayor Francisco Leon and Gert Van Manen from ITI Tropicals. During the event Mayor Leon presented an anniversary award to Quicornac on behalf of the City of Vinces, congratulating all of the employees, past and present, for making the company what it is today. Mr. Frei’s father, Herbert, was also recognized for his vision and leadership over the past 25 years. “It is wonderful to see a local company grow to achieve such success on both a local and global scale,” said Leon.
“In the beginning it was a small operation with some 20 employees working out one shift,” remembers Frei. Since then, under his leadership, today the business is global in reach with 2 large processing facilities in Ecuador and Peru.
“Our business has changed with time, however our vision has remained constant,” said Frei. “We have always been, and continue to be, committed to delivering high quality products at competitive prices that exceed expectations, through leadership, long term partnerships and innovation.”
“We are thrilled to have accomplished so much over the last quarter-century,” said Frei. “Quicornac has made a great home in both Vinces and Olmos and we look forward to forging ahead new expansions and further growth in the years to come.”
