Parmalat Has Sold 51% of Parmalat Centroamerica S.A. to Productos Lacteos Centroamericanos S.A.

Parmalat Centroamerica S.A. signed a "license agreement" which will allow Parmalat Group to cash in a total amount of USD 400,000 in the first five years of contract.

27 Nov 2009 --- Parmalat S.p.A. announces that its subsidiary Parmalat Nicaragua S.A. has sold 51% of Parmalat Centromerica S.A. to Productos Lacteos Centroamericanos S.A..

The disposal took place for a consideration of USD 800,000. Furthermore, Parmalat Centroamerica S.A. signed a "license agreement" which will allow Parmalat Group to cash in a total amount of USD 400,000 in the first five years of contract.

The Net Sales of Parmalat Centroamerica S.A. for the year 2008 amounted to approximately 25 million Euros with an EBITDA of about 400 thousand Euros and a loss equal to 1.2 million Euros; the net financial debt as at December 31, 2008, was of about 4.5 million Euros.
