Omega Ingredients Launches 100% “Naturally Tasty” Tomato Flavour

By using 100% real tomato extract from the named fruit, as opposed to compounded tomato flavours, manufacturers can label their products as containing “natural tomato extract” which can give them a commercial edge over their competitors.

28 Jun 2010 --- Omega Ingredients Ltd, the award winning UK company that creates and manufactures flavours, fragrances and ingredients for global commercial use, has launched a new product range which is 100% natural extract of real tomato.

Steve Pearce, MD of Omega Ingredients Ltd, said “We’re proud to expand our portfolio again and offer our clients another new product.  Just a small amount of this tomato extract significantly boosts the flavour of any tomato-based products and the fact that it’s the “real deal”, made with 100% natural tomato, further enhances its appeal to consumers and supermarket buyers.”

By using 100% real tomato extract from the named fruit, as opposed to compounded tomato flavours, manufacturers can label their products as containing “natural tomato extract” which can give them a commercial edge over their competitors.  Alternatively, if tomato is already being used and declared on the labelling, these new extracts can be applied to enhance the flavour character and impact but without the need for declaration as they are 100% true and natural extracts of tomato.  The most discerning and health conscious consumers are willing to pay a premium for the best taste and what they perceive to be the most natural products and ingredients.
