Nestle Malaysia expects growth concurrently with GDP
Saw a high group turnover due to strong sales in the key categories last year.
28/04/05 Nestle(M) Bhd is expecting to grow its revenue concurrently with the country's gross domestic product projection of 5% to 6% this year, said managing director Sullivan O'Carroll.
The company achieved double-digit growth last year in key categories such as ice-cream, chilled dairy, liquid beverages and the export business. Strong sales in the key categories last year had resulted in the company posting a higher group turnover of RM2.901bil for the financial year ended Dec 31, 2004, up 9.2% on RM2.66bil in 2003.
Nestle Malaysia also recorded an increase of 36.1% to RM220.41mil in net profit, compared to RM161.99mil the previous year.
