Midwest Airlines Genuine Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough to be Available at Select Sendik's Food Markets
The cookie dough will be officially launched at tomorrow's opening of Sendik's newest store in Franklin located at the Fountains of Franklin retail center, 5200 West Rawson Avenue.
01/11/07 When Midwest Airlines introduced fresh, baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies in 1986, the mouth-watering snack became an immediate hit. Since that time, Midwest has served tens of millions of baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies to delighted passengers. And starting tomorrow, cookie enthusiasts can enjoy this same delicious treat at home by simply popping a batch of Midwest Airlines Genuine Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in the oven.
The cookie dough is available exclusively at Milwaukee-area, Balistreri-owned and -operated Sendik's Food Markets. The cookie dough will be officially launched at tomorrow's opening of Sendik's newest store in Franklin located at the Fountains of Franklin retail center, 5200 West Rawson Avenue. The store, which opens at 10 a.m., will serve Midwest chocolate chip cookie samples during the day.
"Through the years, passengers have repeatedly asked where they could buy our fresh, baked-onboard chocolate chip cookies. As an airline, we've have always listened to our customers and decided it was time to meet their request to enjoy our cookies at home," said Susan Kerwin-Hagen, Midwest Airlines Marketing programs specialist. "And we are pleased to partner with one of the Milwaukee area's finest grocers -- Sendik's Food Markets -- to make Midwest Airlines Genuine Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough available to the public."
"Both Sendik's Food Markets and Midwest Airlines have a reputation for quality and service, so it's a perfect match for our food market to carry the airline's Genuine Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough," said Mike Frederick, director of Retail Operations for Sendik's Food Markets. "We look forward to offering the cookie dough not only at our newest store in Franklin, but also at our stores in Elm Grove, Grafton, Mequon, Wauwatosa and Whitefish Bay."
Midwest timed the launch of its Genuine Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough to coincide with National Cookie Month. The cookie dough comes packaged as 32 individual ready-to-bake, one-ounce cookies and is based on the same recipe as the cookies Midwest serves onboard. The cookie dough can be found in Sendik's Food Markets' frozen food sections.
