Simple Steps is a microwaveable vacuum skin packaging concept that places strong focus on food quality and convenience or ease of use. It is self venting, meaning there is no need to pierce the film before placing the pack in the microwave. The formation of a pressure bubble keeps the hydration and taste locked inside the product to cook. The pack also features an efficient easy opening device making it super easy to open the tray after heat treatment.
These products offer precious added value and greatly facilitate the consumption of “Ready to Cook” fish by consumers through the following advantages. First, the product is already marinated to the ideal level (marinades are developed in partnership with the German company RAPS). Second, the microwave steam cooking process results in a fish cooked to perfection, without unpleasant smells. Third, all portions are boneless. Lastly, the manufacturing and packaging processes generate a shelf life of 3 weeks.
