Maxxium UK Unveils 4-pack Cases for Convenience Channel
26 Nov 2014 --- To help independent retailers benefit from the Christmas opportunity, Maxxium UK is introducing smaller case sizes and new fractional packs for its premium brands, including Courvoisier.
As a leading UK spirits supplier, Maxxium UK is responding to the challenges faced by independent retailers by providing a solution to meet the demands of the convenience shopper.
With nearly half of the spirits sold in convenience packaged in sizes smaller than 375ml, Maxxium UK is now offering Courvoisier VS and VSOP, The Macallan Gold, Highland Park and Jim Beam in 35cl bottles. Courvoisier VS is also available in 20cl bottles.
Maxxium UK has also reduced the size of its cases to a four-pack for Courvoisier, The Macallan Gold and Highland Park, saving retailers money by reducing their cash outlay while maximising their sales with higher profit margins.
The gifting and entertaining season is underway and with the trend in premiumisation and growing popularity in malt whisky, retailers can now stock leading brands in key categories at this time of year when there is an increase in impulse and top-up purchases.
Maxxium UK’s sales controller for cash & carry and impulse, Andrew Morrison says: “Maxxium UK is supporting the independent sector with new fractionals and smaller case sizes to meet retailer needs. We understand that driving trial is important in building brand loyalty and shelf space remains a challenge. By offering leading brands such as Courvoisier and The Macallan as fractionals and in smaller cases, we are enabling retailers to present premium spirits to their customers in accessible formats.
“We anticipate the convenience channel to continue to grow and we are committed to supporting the independent retailer to ensure that they meet their shoppers’ needs.”
