Maximise Raw Material Performance from DSM Food Specialties
BrewCo@ch evaluates the use of raw materials against key performance indicators (KPIs) and process parameters to provide individual recommendations from DSM Food Specialites’ comprehensive range of brewing enzymes.
13/11/08 DSM Food Specialties has announced the launch of BrewCo@ch; a unique, new, interactive tool designed to maximise the performance of raw materials used in the brewing process and give brewers the most efficient enzyme solutions to specific processing problems. BrewCo@ch evaluates the use of raw materials against key performance indicators (KPIs) and process parameters to provide individual recommendations from DSM Food Specialites’ comprehensive range of brewing enzymes.
Christel Rutten, product manager beer, DSM Food Specialties said, “BrewCo@ch has been developed in response to growing demand for a tool that can review individual processing needs and make informed and personalised recommendations for improved efficiency.
“Every brewer has different requirements, uses different brewing processes, techniques and equipment and measures success against a range of KPIs including yield, conversion and filtration times. Add to this the range of different raw materials currently being used, such as malt, raw barley, wheat or adjuncts and the matrix of variables becomes ever more complex. The creation of BrewCo@ch gives brewers a useful and flexible tool covering all these different aspects. Fundamentally, BrewCo@ch selects an enzyme solution from our extensive brewing enzyme portfolio which will reduce costs or improve profitability by increasing processing efficiency and ensuring consistent product quality with whatever raw material used.”
