Maple Leaf Foods introduces two new products
Maple Leaf Food's Grilled Chicken Breast Strips and Grilled Sirloin Steak Strips enable quick, versatile, and healthy alternatives to fast or frozen foods.
27/01/06 Two new Maple Leaf Foods products have hit stores that will help busy families with children, singles and couples alike make the dinner rush a lot easier.
Maple Leaf Food's Grilled Chicken Breast Strips and Grilled Sirloin Steak Strips enable quick, versatile, and healthy alternatives to fast or frozen foods. And these affordable new products also help Moms and Dads control the quality of ingredients served to their families as well as remove the messiest and often most time consuming step of meal preparation - cooking the meat from raw.
Both products can be heated in 30 seconds in the microwave or in just three minutes on the stovetop. These quality cuts of seasoned meat, grilled and fully cooked to deliver tender and delicious flavour, are sliced and ready to add to a variety of mainstream dishes such as fajitas, pastas, wraps, stir fries, salads and pizza.
The Grilled Chicken Breast Strips are 100 per cent chicken breast with 21 per cent meat protein and are low fat (97 per cent fat free). The Grilled Sirloin Steak Strips are also low fat and offer 23 per cent meat protein.
"Besides nutrition facts on the packaging, each product offers two easy recipes on the back of the easy-to-grab cardboard box helping even the most kitchen-challenged produce a great meal," says Anna Seymour, Consumer Marketing Manager, Maple Leaf Foods.
Those recipes include Balsamic Chicken Salad and Simple Chicken Stir Fry on the Grilled Chicken packaging and Easy Steak Fajitas and Simple Steak Stir Fry on the Grilled Sirloin box.
Portioned for two or more people, the Grilled Chicken Breast Strips and Grilled Sirloin Steak Strips are regularly priced approximately between $3.99 and $4.29 at retail and are available in the refrigerated fresh meat section of major grocery stores across Canada.
