08 May 2013 --- “Discriminatory” food taxes introduced by some EU member states to discourage the consumption of certain foods sidestep the larger challenge of encouraging consumers to adopt healthier lifestyles and pose a risk to the competitiveness of the food and drink industries of the EU, agree EU social partners in the food and drink industry.
