LIS boosts production capacity with new lab and “high-care” spray drying tower
11 Oct 2017 --- Yesterday (Tuesday, 10 October 2017), LIS (Lesaffre Ingredients Services) Polska officially inaugurated a new “high-care” spray drying tower, a new laboratory and the first phase of its wastewater treatment system. As part of a multi-year investment program totaling €10 million (US$11.8 million), these new facilities will help support LIS Polska’s growth ambitions while providing its clients with additional capacity and a wider product range.
With two production sites (LIS France and LIS Polska), LIS is the European standard for the contract drying of food ingredients and more widely for powder forming.
State-of-the-art laboratory and a new spray-drying tower
Commissioned at the end of the first half of 2017, the spray-drying tower further adds to the existing range of equipment, increasing the site’s production capacity by 30 percent while offering new powder forming capabilities including granulation and encapsulation. Another important aspect of this facility is that it offers an environment that meets the required standards forbaby foods and other high-care products. As for the quality control lab performing physicochemical chemical and micro-bacteriological testing to the highest standards in the profession, this demonstrates the company’s commitment to meeting ever more demanding quality standards.
LIS Polska is investing in new industrial resources and recruiting new staff to sustain this momentum. The company has added around fifteen people to its workforce since early 2017, most of whom are production operatives but also a laboratory, maintenance, logistical and engineering staff.
