Lallemand Expands its Plant Care Unit’s Presence in Brazil through the Acquisition of Laboratorio Farroupilha
13 Jan 2016 --- With 10 years’ experience in developing and producing biological crop management inputs in Brazil, Laboratorio Farroupilha has become the latest addition to Lallemand’s Plant Care division, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience and innovative product development to the privately owned Canadian company.
Lallemand is present through plants, distribution centers or representation offices on all 5 continents and 40 countries. All its acquisitions are accompanied by on-going product innovations and investments in plants to modernize the existing structures or to transform their priorities.
Lallemand, a global leader in yeast and bacteria, is also active in plant health care for agriculture, horticulture, forestry and turf management. Laboratorio Farroupilha will be Lallemand Plant Care’s platform for expansion into Latin America. In addition, Laboratorio Farroupilha is expected to help expand Lallemand Plant Care’s production capacity, bolster its R&D activities, and augment its bio-insecticide offering.
