Kemin Launches New Antioxidant Combination for Spice Blends

1/12/2011 --- Kemin Food Technologies, a division of Kemin Industries, announces the launch of FORTIUM TR30, a unique liquid blend of natural and plant-derived ingredients that delays oxidation to maintain color in paprika and red colored spice blends.
"FORTIUM TR30 was formulated to be the optimal alternative to traditional synthetic antioxidants," says Will Schroeder, PhD, director of research and development for the Food Technologies division of Kemin Industries. "Our liquid product offers a more cost effective, consumer friendly label option that is easy to use."
Paprika, a widely used coloring agent known for its bright red color, is used in a variety of foods and is most often judged on one quality parameter - color. Kemin's FORTIUM TR30 liquid is a combination of Kemin's proprietary, natural rosemary extract and tocopherols. It has been especially effective in increasing the color stability of paprika powder, along with other spice blends.
