Nov 9 2011 --- Capitalizing on the rapidly developing brewing industry in China, Kalsec Inc. announces an expansion plan for its advanced hop product offerings in the China market. The multi-million dollar investment will focus on expanding Kalsec applications and sales efforts in the world’s largest beer producing nation. In addition, the investment is expected to leverage the company’s existing food ingredients business already operating in Shanghai.

“After a comprehensive evaluation of the China brewing industry, we determined that it was the right time for Kalsec to establish a direct presence in China to support the growing demands of our customers and to take advantage of new market opportunities,” said Dr. Scott Nykaza, chief operating officer at Kalsec.
 
Kalsec hop extract offerings provide the brewing industry with advanced hop products for bittering addition, light stability, foam enhancement and mproved economics. HopRival natural hop extracts are used to provide flavor and aroma that rival traditional hopping. Kalsec hop-derived products are also ideal for non-alcoholic malt beverages and many other non-brewing applications.
