Jeremiah Weed - A Novelty From The American South
25 Feb 2013 --- Jeremiah Weed is a novelty, originally from Kentucky, USA. The protruding design on both the bottle label for the tanks back to the American South. The drink has a sweet and spicy character and is available at Systembolaget in two different flavors; Jeremiah Weed Root Brew and Jeremiah Weed Sour Mash Brew.
Jeremiah Weed Root Brew, is a drink with a subtle and spicy flavor that is reminiscent of the American South. The drink has a distinct character of ginger, hints of citrus, red apples, cinnamon and honey. The taste can be described as "Kentucky style cider." The aroma is reminiscent of our Swedish mumma with hints of orange and mango.
Jeremiah Weed Sour Mash Brew, has a slightly tougher appearance but is still as wonderfully good! The drink has a strong taste of bourbon whiskey, cardamom, red apples and honey. A bold version of a "Cider Brew '. The color is delicious golden brown and smell subtle and spicy with hints of apple peel and black pepper.
Jeremiah Weed is easily drunk with a distinct freshness and perfect to be enjoyed as a social drink, preferably over ice in the special "Jam Jar" glasses. In the summer, making it particularly well outdoors as a cooler after softball game with friends or after a long day at the beach. But the weather permits, we recommend it heartily as an alternative to the Friday beer!
