JBT Corporation Announces Award of New Citrus Processing Project in Spain
Zuvamesa, a consortium largest fresh citrus exporters in Spain, awarded JBT FoodTech this comprehensive juice production contract to equip their newly constructed facility.
25/11/08 JBT Corporation announced that its JBT FoodTech business has signed a 5.2 million euro (US $6.7 million) contract for a new citrus processing project with Valencia, Spain-based Zumos Valencianos del Mediterraneo, S.A.
Zuvamesa, a consortium of 57 of the largest fresh citrus exporters in Spain, awarded JBT FoodTech this comprehensive juice production contract to equip their newly constructed facility with processing equipment from the initial unloading of the fruit at the plant through citrus juice and pulp production. The equipment utilized will be sourced from JBT FoodTech facilities in Brazil, Italy, and the United States as well as from local, third party suppliers. This new Zuvamesa facility will produce "not-from-concentrate" orange juice primarily for major local retailers, as well as for export into the growing European citrus juice market.
