Jack Link’s Snaps up High Quality Jerky Brand
11 Mar 2016 --- The maker of Jack Link’s jerky snacks has bought the meat snacks unit of Grass Run Farms. Grass Run Farms is a collaboration of US family farms which makes 100 percent grass-fed snacks and fresh meat products.
Grass Run Farms farmers and ranchers are dedicated to sustainable faming. Its cattle are reared on a grass-fed dirt and are never given antibiotics or added growth hormones.
It snacks include jerky and beef sticks and is known for producing high-quality beef.
No financial details of the deal were announced.
Jack Link’s protein snacks unit is headquartered in Wisconsin and includes flagship brand Jack Links along with other brands such as Lorissa’s Kitchen and World Kitchens.
Jack Link’s is the leading beef snack company in the US and its jerky products are found in various retailers.
The deal will mean that Jack Link will buy beef from Grass Run but makes the snacks on its own plants.
