Heston Blumenthal Extraordinary Christmas Range Launched at Waitrose
30 Sep 2016 --- Innovative and inventive celebrity chef Heston Blumenthal has teamed up with high-end grocer Waitrose to create a new range of “curious” and “quintessentially British” product lines in the run up to Christmas.
The new-look Heston from Waitrose range is unveiled at stores today (Sep 30) and is part of an on-going collaboration with the unusual chef that began six years ago. The range is being relaunched with a new design and ten new products; including a brand new Christmas pudding, mince pies with a twist and edible chocolate baubles.
The full range now includes nearly 60 products with packaging that reflects Heston’s passion for quality ingredients, quintessentially British traditions and curious flavor combinations, according to Waitrose. The packaging features quirky illustrations and fun animal characters.
"We hope that the new range and quirky look will encapsulate the fun we've had creating the range with Heston. Each and every product is carefully created to deliver truly outstanding taste, as well as bringing an unexpected twist to our favorite dishes, making it easier than ever for customers to experience the very latest in food innovation in their very own kitchen. Other products include a charcoal bagel topped with chia seeds and filled with lapsang souchong tea smoked salmon, dill and caraway pickled cucumber, and soft cheese. A Persian-inspired Christmas pudding with apricots, pomegranate liqueur, pistachios, caramelized orange and Middle Eastern spices with a honey and rose butter center and a copper glitter finish. The Ultimate Chocolate Truffle Cake with layers of luxurious rich chocolate sponge and velvety hazelnut liqueur flavored ganache and buttercream, the edible baubles chocolate collection and spicy shortcrust mince pieces with a lemon twist.
