Healthy Food Holdings Closes Acquisition of Breyers Yogurt Business
On January 2, 2007, Healthy Food Holdings announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement to acquire CoolBrands Dairy, formerly a subsidiary of CoolBrands International Inc.
31/01/07 Healthy Food Holdings, a portfolio company of private equity firm Catterton Partners has closed its previously announced acquisition of CoolBrands Dairy, Inc. CoolBrands Dairy manufactures and markets yogurt products under the Breyers and Creme Savers brands.
Chuck Marcy, Chief Executive Officer of Healthy Food Holdings, said, "We are delighted to complete this transaction, which allows us to further extend our reach in the fast-growing yogurt category. With the addition of Breyers to our portfolio, which currently includes YoCrunch, Healthy Food Holdings will be the third largest branded yogurt company in America.
