H. J. Heinz Company Finalizes the Acquisition of Benedicta
The acquisition of Bénédicta fits perfectly into Heinz’s global strategy to focus its portfolio on three attractive core categories, Ketchup & Sauces, Infant/Nutrition and Meals & Snacks (including baked beans, soups and pasta meals).
08/08/08 H. J. Heinz Company announced that it has completed the acquisition of Bénédicta, a French manufacturer of table top sauces, mayonnaises and salad dressings. On July 2, 2008, Heinz announced that it signed a letter of intent to acquire Bénédicta. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
