Greene King buys Ridley

05/07/05 Greene King has bought brewer and pub company Ridley & Sons for £45.6m.

Through the deal, Greene King adds 71 freehold tenanted pubs and two leasehold pubs to its empire.

The transaction also includes the Hartford End brewery in Chelmsford, Essex, and a distribution center in Ipswich.
