First USDA-certified organic pickles introduced
The pickles, produced and marketed by Gedney will be sold under both the Gedney and Del Monte labels, under license from Del Monte Foods.
18/04/06 After 125 years of passionate pickle production, M.A. Gedney Company, the industry's most innovative pickle company, introduces the first-of-its-kind line of USDA-certified organic pickles. The pickles, produced and marketed by Gedney and sold under both the Gedney and Del Monte labels -- under license from Del Monte Foods -- will be available in supermarkets and retail outlets nationwide offering natural and organic foods in April 2006.
The new line of Gedney and Del Monte USDA-certified organic pickles, which includes Sweet Bread & Butter Chips, Dill Burger Slices, Kosher Dill Whole Pickles, Kosher Dill Baby Pickles and Kosher Dill Spears, features the same high-quality, unrivaled variety and savory flavor as Gedney's other fine family recipes.
Gedney's organic pickles are produced without synthetic chemicals or genetically modified ingredients and are made using fresh organic cucumbers, hand picked on certified organic farms at the perfect size and time of ripeness. Every crispy organic cucumber is then meticulously sorted and packed to ensure the finest flavor and freshest quality.
Aside from the fact that Gedney and Del Monte brand organic pickles taste great, like all pickles, they have no fat and are low in calories and carbohydrates.
The suggested retail price for Gedney and Del Monte organic pickles ranges from $3 to $5 per 24-ounce jar.
Since 1919, Del Monte has been marketing pickles and pickle products, including its market-leading Sweet Pickle Relish, and its uniquely sweet Sweet Gherkin Pickles, which are one of the country's only sweet gherkins made the old-fashioned way: barrel-sweetened for ultimate sweetness. Del Monte pickles are produced and marketed by M.A. Gedney Company and sold under the Del Monte label under license from Del Monte Foods.
For 125 years, M.A. Gedney Company has been making extraordinary pickles, condiments, dressings and preserves. M.A. Gedney Company makes and markets a variety of pickles, including the State Fair line, under the Gedney brand name throughout the Midwest. In the northeast corner of the United States, Gedney markets pickles under the Cains brand name. The M.A. Gedney Company is headquartered in Chaska, Minn.
