Fattoria di Limone Announces a Creative Partnership With International Artist John Van Orsouw
12 Aug 2014 --- Fattoria di Limone, a premium brand of American-made limoncello, announces a creative partnership with renowned painter and sculptor John van Orsouw. Artwork created by Mr. van Orsouw will be prominently featured on Fattoira di Limone labels and in other brand materials.
John van Orsouw, who was born in the Netherlands, describes his work as joyous and colorful, with a kinetic feel, inspired by children's toys, jazz music, folk art, and indigenous art forms. He has studied and worked extensively in the U.S. and in Europe and is currently a featured artist at the Van der Plas Gallery in New York City. Recent exhibitions include the 2011 New York Outsider Art Fair and the 6th Annual Outsider Art Exhibition at Galerie Belage in West Hampton Beach, New York. His paintings are characterized by carnival-like visions of strange figures rendered in bright colors and expressionistic doodles and scribbles.
Fattoria di Limone Limoncello Original Liqueur is a lemon-flavored beverage made in small batches from regionally-sourced natural ingredients, mostly within New York State, following a classic Italian recipe. Flavored liqueurs such as limoncello are one of the fastest growing beverage categories in the US.
Fattoria di Limone—which means "lemon farm" in Italian—is a minority-owned company led by two entrepreneurs, Dawn Jacksland and Erik Christman, who share several decades of experience in sales, marketing, and advertising.
