Experts to Discuss New Food Label Requirements at U.S. Food Labeling Seminar; Former FDA Official and Food Law Attorney Will Lead Discussion

The daylong seminar will review basic food labeling requirements and explain the changes in food labeling that became effective in 2006, including the new labeling requirements for trans fat and allergens. The seminar will also review new rules on health claims and country of origin labeling, and mock label reviews will be conducted. Possible future changes in food labeling being considered by FDA will also be discussed.
