Danisco A/S and Novozymes A/S reach settlement over lipase

08/06/06 Danisco A/S and Novozymes A/S have announced that a settlement has been reached in the dispute concerning the entitlement to patent rights for certain types of baking enzyme (lipases), and infringement of patent rights for the same in the USA. The settlement enables both companies to remain in the global market for these types of baking enzyme (lipases).
The parties are pleased that the cases, which had been pending since 2001, are now closed. Danisco A/S and Novozymes A/S have agreed not to publish any details of the cases or the settlement.
