Cuisine Solutions to introduce new product line at the 2006 FMI show in Chicago
Plans to show a new line of smaller packaged entrees, such as New Zealand Rack of Lamb seasoned with Garlic, Parsley and Thyme.
14/04/06 Cuisine Solutions, Inc. has announced that it will exhibit new products at the Food Marketing Institute (FMI) retail trade show at McCormick Place in Chicago, May 7 - 9. Cuisine Solutions started selling its premium center of the plate entrees to retailers under its own Cuisine Solutions brand three years ago. "The almost cult-like following we are getting for our premium, fully cooked, frozen products is amazing and wonderful," states Cuisine Solutions Chef, Marc Brennet, who is pictured on the back of the packaging of many of the items. "We receive a tremendous volume of calls and emails each day asking where to purchase our products. Our customers are demanding greater retail distribution of our product, and we are working hard to deliver."

"Our new packaging will allow us to get a foot-hold in more retail freezers where space is a premium and our larger boxes were not feasible," states CEO Stanislas Vilgrain. "We consider our products non-comparable in the freezer case and focused on exceptional events. For some people, that is a birthday, anniversary, or dinner party. For others, they want exceptional food every day with the ultimate convenience of it being fully cooked and ready in minutes."
Cuisine Solutions utilizes the "Sous-Vide" technology and methods, which means that the products, such as Lamb Shank with Rosemary Mint sauce, Seared Tilapia with Lemon and Green Peppercorn sauce, or Veal Osso Buco, are vacuum sealed and then slowly cooked at the right temperature immersed in water. The science behind Sous-Vide cooking involves knowing the precise time and temperature that food changes molecular structure. This allows Cuisine Solutions to cook the food for optimum taste, color, and texture. The result is restaurant quality food every time. The Company's Sous-Vide process also pasteurizes the product and kills all vegetative forms of bacteria, and since the food is sealed in a bag, it is not handled after it is cooked -- until you open it to heat and serve. As the products are immediately flash-frozen, there is no need for preservatives in the product. Most of the Cuisine Solutions products have a guaranteed 18 month shelf life.
