Coors Brewing Company introduces Zima XXX Hard Punch
Hard Punch is a new flavor for the Zima XXX brand and is bold red in color, 5.9 percent alcohol by volume and available in six-pack bottles and 24-ounce cans.
08/02/06 Coors Brewing Company has announced the availability of Zima(R) XXX Hard Punch in grocery, liquor and convenience stores nationwide. Hard Punch is a new flavor for the Zima XXX brand and is bold red in color, 5.9 percent alcohol by volume and available in six-pack bottles and 24-ounce cans.
In selecting the new flavor, Coors conducted extensive consumer research that showed punch was favored over all other flavors tested, including grape and blueberry. According to the February 2005 issue of Beverage Industry Magazine, punch is the fastest-growing flavor in the beverage industry.
The introduction of Zima XXX Hard Punch will be supported through point of sale, print advertising and a new Zima XXX Web site. Hard Punch joins three other Zima XXX flavors including Hard Lemon Lime, Hard Black Cherry and Hard Orange.
Coors Brewing Company is a subsidiary of Molson Coors Brewing Company. It is the third-largest brewer in the U.S. The company's U.S. brands include Coors Light, Molson Canadian, Coors, Aspen Edge, Killian's Irish Red, Keystone, Blue Moon, Coors NA and Zima XXX.
