Comax Flavors Introduces "Wine-Beer" Flavor Collection
28 May 2014 --- According to the Brewers Association, craft beer sales rose 20% in 2013. Craft brewers have been launching a variety of innovative and distinct flavor combinations ranging from fruity and sweet to herbaceous and savory mashups. And in 2013, the US became the world's biggest market for wine surpassing France, reported the International Vine and Wine organization.
Brewers and Enologists alike look for unique flavor combinations and are experimenting with a variety of ingredients borrowed from each other.
Hybrid beverages are on trend and instead of making consumers choose between beer or wine, Comax Flavors created the non-alcoholic "Wine-Beer" flavor collection, which features Muscat Grape, Madeira Wine, and Muscato Wine flavors crafted specifically for beer. "We are combining well-accepted wine flavor profiles to create a unique beer drinking experience," stated Catherine Armstrong, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Comax Flavors. For consumers that prefer a non-wine flavor, Comax offers a wide range of eclectic flavors for beer. Cardamom and Sweet Cinnamon flavors add a hint of spice while Hickory Smoke and Black Walnut flavors create nutty nuances.
