Coffee Drinkers Celebrate Christmas with Carte Noire
The unmistakable container combines a unique rectangular shape with eye-catching graphics and complimentary embossing to draw consumer attention at point-of-sale.
04/12/2007 Kraft Foods is celebrating the Christmas season with the launch of its popular Carte Noire coffee brand in an original contemporary metal container. Developed in cooperation with CROWN Speciality Packaging, a business unit of Crown Holdings, Inc. (Crown) (www.crowncork.com), the package is part of an exclusive holiday promotion available starting in early December in French and Ukrainian supermarkets.
Just like the well-known coffee, the 250g tin has a distinctive edge that meets the expectations of the brand’s demanding and loyal customer base. The unmistakable container combines a unique rectangular shape with eye-catching graphics and complimentary embossing to draw consumer attention at point-of-sale. A glittery gold and silver star-like pattern invokes the magic of Christmas, while the matt and glossy black varnish reminds coffee lovers of the distinctive, refined flavor of their favorite drink.
Results from a recent Kraft Foods survey showed consumers were actually pouring their coffee into tins to maintain freshness. This exquisite container eliminates the need for consumers to take this extra step while also serving as a strong promotional tool to reinforce the distinctiveness and richness of the Carte Noire coffee brand during the competitive Christmas season. Crown’s sophisticated printing technology enabled Kraft Foods to introduce packaging that is a real breakthrough in the coffee market and differentiates the Carte Noire brand on the shelf.
