Chr. Hansen to Launch New Natural Colour Solutions
Chr. Hansen brings complete portfolio of natural color solutions to Cologne but will be focusing on promoting four new CapColors — White, Yellow, Green, and Black — and FruitMax range of coloring foodstuffs.
26 Jan 2010 --- Chr. Hansen will be showcasing its complete portfolio of natural colors and coloring foodstuffs to the ProSweets 2010. The trade show for the confectionery industry will be held in Cologne, Germany, on Jan. 31 through Feb. 3, 2010.
“Due to the extraordinary demand for natural color solutions that we experience at the moment we decided to upscale our exhibition presence at this year’s ProSweets compared to last year,” says Rainer Krüger, Market Development Manager, Chr. Hansen GmbH.
“Visitors to our stand at ProSweets 2010 will see more colors and coloring foodstuffs presented at a bigger booth than last year. Our natural color experts will be demonstrating the practical use of our products in various confectionery applications.”
“We will bring our complete portfolio of natural color solutions to Cologne but we will be focusing on promoting our four new CapColors — White, Yellow, Green, and Black — and our FruitMax range of coloring foodstuffs which allow food producers in some countries to label the colorings as food ingredients, not as E-numbers,” explains Krüger.
The four new CapColors are based on calcium carbonate (derived from limestone), turmeric, chlorophyllin (derived from spinach and other natural chlorophyllin sources) and carbo vegetabilis (vegetable charcoal), respectively.
Confectionery producers using the 2nd generation CapColors shades will reap a number of benefits:
* Increased strength leading to lower dosages and decreased cost-in-use
* Higher color intensity and less sedimentation
* No migration/bleeding issues
* Better stability towards light, oxidation and pH
* Better dispersibility
