Chase Seville Orange Marmalade Vodka Now In Season
10 Jan 2013 --- Chase Marmalade Vodka, which won gold at the San Francisco spirits competition and 92/100 at the beverage tasting institute, is currently being distilled at the Chase Distillery.
Using the finest Seville oranges, Chase make an award winning marmalade on the farm. They then marinade the vodka for 48 hours with the marmalade before redistilling a fifth time and then finally infusing with fresh Seville orange peel which give the spirit is beautiful amber glow and zesty tang.
Chase Marmalade was entered into the world Marmalade awards last year and won third in class, beating off hundreds of rivals from around the world. For the past seven years the British estate Delmain has hosted the World’s original Marmalade Awards and has firmly placed it at the centre of the marmalade map.
Each year a member of the Chase family visits the town of Seville to personally guarantee the finest Seville oranges are shipped over.
William Chase, founder of the distillery, said: “For obvious reasons we can’t grow oranges in this country, but we head out to Seville at the start of each year to get the best pick of the crop.
“Seville Orange Marmalade has a very important place in British history and hopefully I can restore a sense of pride in our eccentric forgotten past times.”
