Carlsberg Revenues Up 8%
Net revenue climbed 8% to a total of DKK 30.8bn (DKK 28.5bn in the same period of 2005), driven in particular by a positive trend in Western Europe and continued volume growth in both BBH and Asia.
08/11/06 Carlsberg has said that progress in all areas of the business leads to a further upward adjustment of the full-year outlook for operating profit.
Net revenue climbed 8% to a total of DKK 30.8bn (DKK 28.5bn in the same period of 2005), driven in particular by a positive trend in Western Europe and continued volume growth in both BBH and Asia. In local currencies, net revenue climbed 7%.
Operating profit rose by 22% to DKK 3,532m (DKK 2,899m in the same period of 2005). This increase is in line with a generally positive trend in the business.
Carlsberg's share of profit more than doubled to DKK 1,964m, against DKK 793m in the same period of 2005.
The full-year outlook for operating profit is increased by DKK 150m to approx. DKK 3.9bn, and the outlook for net profit remains unchanged at approx. DKK 1.8bn, the Danish brewing giant said.
