16 Feb 2015 --- As the first in a series of six-new-beers-in-six-weeks, Cape May Brewing Company is unleashing its Citra Pale Ale on the world this Thursday, February 19.
“Picture walking through a California orange grove at harvest time,” says CMBC’s head brewer Brian Hink of the beverage’s sensory impact. “Or the mist you get when you peel back an orange.”
Dry-hopped with citra, arguably the buzziest beer flower on the market, the brew is 5.5% ABV, very dry, slightly sweet, light-bodied, and capable of turning cynics into craft beer enthusiasts.
And, as always, it’s fresh. “A beer that was made in California… how does that get to you?” asks CMBC co-owner Chris Henke. “It sits in a warehouse before sitting on a train. Our beer is made right here. That’s what makes it different, and supremely drinkable.”
