Campbell's extends PET jar benefits to croutons
The 300g jar is a breakthrough in crouton packaging, offering real benefits in taste and convenience compared to traditional sachet formats.
09/06/06 Following the successful launch by Campbell Grocery Products Ltd of its dry soups brands in a PET jar the company has again turned to RPC Containers Blackburn for the launch of a new product from crouton brand Liebig.
Launched in France in December 2005, the 300g jar is a breakthrough in crouton packaging, offering real benefits in taste and convenience compared to traditional sachet formats. Key reasons for the repackaging include recloseability for added freshness after opening, a durable container to keep the croutons in excellent condition, a larger pack size for consumer value, and a design that is modern and user-friendly for the consumer.
Like the earlier soup jar, the container is injection-stretch blow moulded in PET and features an attractive curved shape which stands out on-shelf and is easy for consumers to handle. The jar is decorated with full body shrink sleeves in red and green, manufactured by Fuji and applied at RPC Blackburn using a steam tunnel to guarantee an excellent fit to the contours of the jar.

“The new jar gives Liebig Crousti’Top a stylish presence, whilst consumers benefit from a handy format that keeps the croutons fresh, undamaged and easy to handle,” comments Gregory Chabidon, Liebig Senior Brand Manager at Campbell’s.
