BRC Certification AA rating Achieved by PGPI Evansville, Indiana, USA

BRC is a global standard in food safety and quality and achieving the highest rating available with just two easily addressed minors demonstrates the company has showcased the very best in equipment, processes, documentation and employee behaviours.

Last year BRC introduced its Version 7 Certification Audit, its most rigorous audit to date. The Audit dives deep into a range of elements covering:

• Quality management
• Process control
• Site standards
• Continual improvement
• Personnel
• Food fraud
• Allergens

The BRC audit was carried out by an independent and specially trained certification provider and was hosted by PGPI’s Evansville Site Management Team including Brad Jenkins, Site Manager, and Khristy La Fontaine–Thompson, Site QA Manager. Attaining the standards required for an AA rating is only the first step as the audit process itself requires time and staff dedication to ensure that everything is in place. Andy Hodson VP of Operations for PGPI says “Achieving the AA rating in Evansville required the on-going commitment of all members of staff across the site. This kind of achievement is built on good leadership and the expectation and understanding that every team member in the plant is responsible for our success. The Evansville Team should feel very proud of the standards they set for themselves and for this fantastic achievement.”

BRC Certification delivers confidence for customers seeking the very best in safety, quality and supply chain management and the AA rating places PGPI Evansville as a world leader in standards.
