Experiments brewery in Falkenberg, Backyard Brewery is a celebration of beer where the bridge champion Daniel Eriksson test and develop beer with a little more attitude. A place where he and his brewing team have an outlet for their creativity and experimentation. Bomble Bee 17 is backyard brewery's other beers after "gräsklipparölet" Lawn Mower which came last fall.
Bomble Bee 17 tastes so we wanted to have a beer brewed in our backyard brewery would taste. An elegant dry, golden yellow body and a greatly refreshing bitterness. In stock tanks bombarder we the hops to its ultimate character. We call it Hop-Struck Pilsener said Daniel Eriksson, master brewer at Backyard Brewery.
Saaz and Willamette
Bomble Bee 17 is in many ways a rather ordinary lager. Dry and easy to drink with a defining and refreshing bitterness. But then something happens. In stock tanks torrhumlas it. And with the classical ädelhumlen Saaz, giving a typical European central green grassy character to the nose. And with the Willamette, which draws inspiration from British hops types to a floral, slightly earthy character, but delivers it with a U.S. fruity punch.
In the way of food makes Bomble Bee 17 complete the job like a pilsner usually manages splendidly. Meat, fish, sausage, grilled vegetables go well with. At the same time, it is also excellent as a pure social drink or thirst quencher on a hot summer day.
The only thing that possibly should beware of is bitter endivsallader or strong chili dishes that might be too tough with Bomble Bees bitterness of 33 IBU - unless it's a really bitter experience you are after, is, says Daniel Eriksson master brewer at Backyard Brewery.
