The yeast extract line, Bionis, and the Bioenhance line help to enhance taste in foods and to reduce salt content. The Bionis line gives body, mouth feel and natural umami enhancement.
10 May 2010 --- According to a recently published study, a 1g reduction in daily salt consumption can prevent between 11,000 and 23,000 strokes, 18,000 to 35,000 heart attacks and between 15,000 and 32,000 deaths by any cause (New England Journal of Medicine). At the IFT Food Expo (stand 5429), Biorigin Ingredients, with its focus on its strategy to promote health and life quality, presents its natural solutions in ingredients that promote salt reduction in final products.
The yeast extract line, Bionis, and the Bioenhance line help to enhance taste in foods and to reduce salt content. The Bionis line gives body, mouth feel and natural umami enhancement, while the Bioenhance line creates and harmonizes taste, increasing the perceived intensity of the salt flavor without adding salt.
Visitors can get to know other natural solutions in ingredients, such as the yeast extract line Biotaste, which enhances toasted notes; and the antimocrobial Biogard product and Biozalt – a salt substitute, as well as the Torula yeast of the Goldcell line.
The Goldcell line also has a dry inactive, autolized and mineralized yeast. For the wine market, Biorigin offers Mannovin – a manno-protein authorized by the International Oenological Codex, and some products from the Goldcell line.
