Bell Launches New Line of Pepper Flavors
31 Oct 2014 --- Bell Flavors and Fragrances has launched a new line of sweet to fiery-hot pepper flavors to spice up any taste profile. Bell’s new pepper line encompasses the best flavor profiles from around the world including Mexico, Peru, the Middle East and one of the hottest islands, Jamaica (where some of the hottest peppers in the world come from). Whatever the application is, if there is room for heat Bell will explore all the options.
"With 1 in 4 people throughout the world eating chili peppers a day, Bell sees a growing captivation with the range of flavors and heat that chile peppers deliver," said Kelli Heinz, Bell’s Director of Marketing & Industry Affairs. "In the U.S., we see many embracing exciting new varieties like the aji amarillo from Peru which has more fruity notes or the guajillo from Mexico that has more sweet and smoky notes.”
A few of the peppers highlighted in this line of flavors include the aji panca which has the lowest level of heat on the Scoville Scale up to the Bhut Jolokia (ghost pepper) which is listed as the hottest pepper. Bell is always expanding and developing new flavors to add to this line of peppers as more and more pepper flavors become mainstream ingredients.
Bell is committed to global flavor development and with seven worldwide manufacturing locations and ten global R&D centers, Bell has dedicated its resources to the development of quality and innovative flavors for all sectors of the food and beverage industries.
