Appleton's Performance Packaging Division Are Now IMS Certified
While the combined companies manufacture monolayer and coextruded films for a variety of applications, American Plastics specializes in high, multi-barrier films with up to eight distinct layers.
01/12/06 Appleton’s Performance Packaging Division announces that all of their film facilities are now approved suppliers of packaging films to the dairy industry. New England Extrusion (NEX) and American Plastics will appear together on the FDA’s Interstate Milk Shippers List, also know as the IMS List. This certification allows the plants to sell film to companies involved in the supply and production of Grade A milk and milk products.
“We continue to look at ways to improve our processes and products throughout the organization. Achievement of IMS Certification across all our film facilities further expands our capabilities in supplying our customers needs.” said Laurie Ford, Director of Quality for Appleton’s Performance Packaging.
While the combined companies manufacture monolayer and coextruded films for a variety of applications, American Plastics specializes in high, multi-barrier films with up to eight distinct layers. This achievement will allow American Plastics to serve the dairy industry on a broader scale and provide barrier film solutions to meet the most demanding packaging needs.
